　　辣妹組合早就在歌迷的痛哭惋惜中解體，嫁人的嫁人，監守音樂的無論如何也趕不上以前的輝煌，但是談到音色，也許你會記得那個磁性十足沙啞的聲音，在五人之中獨樹一幟，那就是Melanie C了。

　　一直關注各人的發展，只有其中兩位還在樂壇活躍，曾經是Spcie Grils一員的Melanie C，單飛之后成績突出。

　　1970年代Melanie C生長在一個宗教氣氛濃厚的家庭里。父母在她三歲時離異，并各自有了新的家庭。母親是當地的一位歌手。求學時代，Melanie一直是個相當優異的學生，對表演有濃厚的興趣。她一直想學彈吉他，也夢想能成為一個明星。1994年 出現一個五人組合，是經紀人為了組成一個女的接招合唱團而征選的，團員分別是Melaine Brown〈Mel B〉，Melanie Chisholm〈Mel C〉，Victoria Adams〈Victoria〉，Geri Halliwell〈Geri〉及后來未加入的Michelle Stephenson。1994年 Michelle Stephenson離團后，Emma Bunton加入，此五人團體取名Spice Girls。1995年 Spice Girls與經紀公司19 Management簽約，9月與EMI旗下的Virgin唱片公司簽約。Melanie C就是Sporty Spice。
