貴為韓國樂壇2003-2004連續唱片銷量兩年霸的女歌手， Lee Soo-young一直堅持她的音樂理念，她的唱片在2003及2004年分別大賣78萬及77萬張，成績無人能及。然而，她在較早前宣布暫時決定引退、出外留學的消息，震驚娛樂圈；她表示，除非在音樂創作上有新突破，否則不會回歸樂壇，可見她對音樂的誠意，亦見《Lee Soo Young Vol. 6.5 - 2005 Special》這張唱片是如何珍貴。 



這張特別大碟Vol. 6.5《2005 Special》是她在2004年9月開始錄制第六張唱片時秘密制作的。為了這張特別大碟，一向重質不重量的Lee Soo-young花了更多的心思泡制，特別挑選她喜愛的音樂，與她一貫的唱片有所不同。CD1收錄了從未收錄于Lee Soo-young唱片的曲目，而CD2則是她個人最喜愛的歌曲，以及一些未有派臺的精選歌。 



碟內有全新歌曲，分別是主打歌「Flowers are supreme」及第四首「A woman who wants to fall in love」。此外，還有不少從未收錄于Lee Soo-young唱片之作，包括與男歌手Simply Sunday合唱的「Love song」、與好友Lee Ji-hoon及神話主音Shin Hye-song合作的「Breakup Story」(第八首)。值得一題的作品亦有曾收錄于張娜拉唱片《Jang Nara & Friends》的「will be mine」，而第13首「You are the person who was born to be loved」亦是取自2004年大賣精選大碟《Miracle》。
