Desmond回來了，這一次，他潛入了一名文藝復(fù)興時(shí)代祖先的記憶中。本次《刺客信條2》的背景設(shè)定在1486年的意大利文藝復(fù)興時(shí)代，地點(diǎn)在威尼斯，佛羅倫薩以及托斯卡納。玩家依舊是操作Desmond的祖先，本次的祖先名叫Ezio Autitore da Firenze。Ezio出身貴族，但是沒多久他就被卷入了他人對(duì)他家族的陰謀中，于是他決定找陰謀策劃者復(fù)仇。在Ezio的任務(wù)中，他將要面對(duì)強(qiáng)大的 Grimaldi家族，這個(gè)家族也就相當(dāng)于今天黑手黨的前身。除了要對(duì)抗Grimaldi家族的成員，我們知道圣殿騎士團(tuán)也會(huì)回來。作為敵方重要角色的 Carno Grimaldi，在威尼斯當(dāng)?shù)乜芍^有權(quán)有勢(shì)。很顯然，這個(gè)家伙身邊保護(hù)重重，而他對(duì)自己過于自信也是他失敗的原因。
