簡駕車時出了車禍，傷愈后發現失去的記憶開始恢復，這對患失憶癥的她來說真是意外。在私家偵探的幫助下她了解到：自己曾是聯邦調查局的特工。受反恐怖組織頭目伯吉斯的委派，去對付恐怖分子迪達。但她不知道，警匪兩家正串通一氣制造大案，為的是讓政府意識到反恐怖組織的重要性，增加財政撥款，她自己只是這骯臟交易中的一個犧牲品。但現在，誰都以為早已不在人世的她再次出現，這引起伯吉斯的極大恐慌。了解了自己的過去，簡也清楚目前的處境，但此刻的她已不是溫文爾雅的女教師，做特工時練就的一身絕技要派上用場了，目標是當年的上司和整個犯罪集團。
