來自瑞典的Standfast樂隊甜美嗓音神似Texas女主唱Sharleen Spiteri、可人模樣恰若珊卓布拉克的Suzanne Mosson這樣解釋Standfast團名的意義：“這個團名就像是我們的座右銘，要為自己的音樂、為自己的信仰堅持到底”。這個意義深遠的團名，不但是男團員Patrick Tucker的姓氏，也是他們首張專輯的名稱。Standfast成軍的過程非常有趣。1997年，Suzanne與Patrick在瑞典首都斯德哥爾摩相識，彼此認為可以組成搭檔試試運氣。“我們在某個地下室租了一間完全密閉的練團室。那個地方充滿了年輕的音樂創作人，日夜不停地在寫歌、錄試聽帶。”他們欣賞The Beatles、Everything But the Girl、Pink Floyd、Coldplay以及Erykah Badu等藝人。對于寫歌與60年代的旋律有著共同的熱情，讓Suzanne與Patrick湊在一起。
