影片根據(jù)曾創(chuàng)造出“野蠻人柯南”的美國作家羅伯特·霍華德1928年創(chuàng)作的同名小說改編。故事講述16世紀(jì)末，凱恩作為女王伊麗莎白一世手下的一名野蠻戰(zhàn)士在非洲征戰(zhàn)。但在一次與惡魔的戰(zhàn)斗中，凱恩意識(shí)到自己必須與暴力絕緣，凈化自己的靈魂，于是回到英國后過上了平靜的生活。然而很快，威脅到整個(gè)世界的邪惡來臨，他又被迫再度出山，拿起手中的劍…

Klaus Badelt，德國人，2000年被他的老鄉(xiāng)Hans Zimmer看中并帶到了好萊塢，在Hans的MV工作室工作，協(xié)助Hans完成了《The Pledge 誓言》、《Hannibal 漢尼伯》、《Invincible 納粹制造》等電影的配樂。2002年，Klaus Badelt第一次獨(dú)立完成了電影《The Time Machine》的配樂，依靠一曲曲氣勢(shì)磅礴的樂曲，一鳴驚人，確立了自己在好賴塢的地位。隨后，Klaus Badelt再接再厲，在近幾年里譜寫了《K-19: The Widowmaker》、《The Recruit》、《Pirates of the Caribbean》、《Constantine》《無極》以及《Poseidon 新海神號(hào)》。 　　

Klaus Badelt 是近年來電影配樂的有名作曲家，先后為電影 Pearl Harbor(珍珠港), Hannibal(漢尼拔), Mission: Impossible II(不可能的任務(wù)2)以及 Gladiator(神鬼戰(zhàn)士)配樂。可謂是大有來頭。The Time Machine 的 OST 可以說是非常的雄偉壯闊，有些地方可以用驚天動(dòng)地來形容(動(dòng)態(tài)很大)。是那種典型的好萊塢管弦樂風(fēng)格，這也繼承了 Klaus Badelt 作曲的風(fēng)格。
