本片描述年輕的網(wǎng)球選手在一次巡回比賽中邂逅了一名中年貴婦，二人不理外界壓力相愛到底，貴婦甚至不惜放棄自已的事業(yè)，幫助青年進(jìn)軍溫布頓世界網(wǎng)球大賽。本片的網(wǎng)球比賽場面在溫布頓球場實地拍攝，頗具逼真感。迪安·馬丁的兒子迪安·保羅·馬丁初登銀幕扮演工于心計的網(wǎng)球新秀即有不錯的表現(xiàn)，但片中加插的愛情故事過于老套，缺乏吸引力。此外，導(dǎo)演安東尼·哈維在片中并沒夫有拍出網(wǎng)球圈的生活感。
