電影“ Swept From The Sea ”的原聲音樂，由著名金球獎和五次學院獎得主John Barry制作。John Barry曾為“007”系列電影作曲。

故事發生在19世紀英國北康瓦耳的一個濱海小鎮，蘇俄移民揚柯古洛（文森·佩雷茲 飾）因為船難漂流到這個小村落中，全船僅剩他一個幸存者。當他衣衫襤褸、饑寒交迫的出現在小鎮上時，沒有半個人愿意理他，只有年輕的女仆艾美佛斯特（蕾切爾·薇茲）伸出援手。

John Barry原名Jonathan Barry Predergast，１９３３年９月３日生于英國，由于父親經營多家劇院（也可當作音樂廳），因此自幼John Barry即與許多歐洲知名交響樂團或音樂家有所接觸，John Barry的母親也是一名鋼琴家，而且九歲時便安排John Barry學習鋼琴，為John Barry打下很好的音樂根基，加上John Barry稱得上是戲院的少東，耳濡目染下，很早就迷上電影與電影音樂，他說很小都就想過自己要當一個像Max Steiner或Franz Waxman那樣的電影音樂家，只是不知如何去做這樣的事．

６０年代，John Barry結束軍旅生涯返回英國，他組成爵士樂團John Barry Seven，在流行音樂界頗有一席之地．１９６２年，伊恩·弗萊明（IanFleming）的諜特小說００７系列首次搬上大銀幕，第一部邦德電影＜007＞的配樂者原來簽定了Monty Norman，但John Barry的朋友邀請John Barry為這部配樂補強一下，希望John Barry能幫忙寫一個主題音樂，John Barry原來并不打算答應，因為他認為自己的風格和Monty Norman并不符合，但在重金引誘下，John Barry還是答應替Norman的作品做一些修改，不過John Barry坦白表示要他寫的話，恐怕就要完全依他的意思改才行，Norman對這種作法表示：雖然這樣讓我挺沒面子，不過你放手做就是!于是John Barry花了整個周末改寫一首新的主題音樂，原來John Barry以為這個音樂只會被當成片頭音樂，直到后來進了戲院才發現整部電影，到處聽得到這個主題，而他不但沒有被事先告知，甚至也沒有掛名作者，John Barry自然得打通電話向制片人抗議一番，不過，制片告訴他，先別這么生氣，因為他們已經決定把所有的邦德電影續集都交給John Barry配樂了.直至今日，邦德主題的原作者，究竟算是Monty Norman還是John Barry 仍頗有爭議，不過由于后來John Barry陸續譜寫了１１部邦德電影音樂，因此，邦德電影音樂仍是John Barry最具代表性的招牌名作．John Barry最后為邦德電影效力是１９８７年的＜黎明生機＞，之后陸續由Michael Kamen，Ericerra與David Arnold等新秀接手．邦德系列不僅讓John Barry揚名影壇，建立了諜特斗智電影音樂的基本形象，同時也是John Barry爵士音樂風格的代表作，除了這個系列外，＜體熱＞，＜午夜牛郎＞ 以及＜棉花俱樂部＞等作品，也都展現了John Barry道地的爵士功力，不過近年來John Barry顯然較少有這一類的作品了．
