　在一次海難中，一艘郵輪沉沒之后，一男一女兩名孩子流落在荒島上，二人學會野外求生的能力，長大之后又逐漸了解性與愛，而且還生了一個嬰兒，他們一家三口在海島生活非常幸福，甚至拒絕了一艘大船的救助。 　　意外發生了，一天，女孩和他們的小孩乘坐小船游玩時不小心把船漿碰到海里，男孩在游泳過來救她們的時候碰到鯊魚，女孩把另外一個船漿擲向鯊魚，使男孩順利的爬上小船,失去兩只船漿的小船被海風刮離海岸，一家三口也只有蜷縮在船艙里，隨著小船漂流在漫無邊際的大海里。 　　蘭德爾·克萊澤執導的這部影片，將《南海天堂》的同一故事重拍，但改為悲劇收場，而且男女主角選用十多歲的青少年演員，更貼合劇中身份，也較能使畫面上呈現出更多的青春氣息，相信在看完影片后，會讓你大吃一驚。
