蒂伯巴赫村即將成為一座被人遺忘的小村莊了。因為就在這天夜里，村里的大人決定集體撤離，只留孩子們自生自滅，以此作為對他們平日里胡作非為，不服管教的懲罰。然而，孩子們一覺醒來，發現往日熙熙攘攘的村莊變成了空城，不禁歡呼雀躍！沒了大人的蒂伯巴赫村變成了一方等待開拓的新大陸，孩子們組成小分隊四處探險。但寧靜很快被打破，大個子托馬斯竟然自封大王。為了擊垮他的囂怨張氣焰，曼菲爾德和瑪麗安開始劃招兵買馬，打算背水一戰。在神志不清的老兵的幫助下，兩人抓獲了托馬斯。與此同時，大人們也回來了，孩子們干脆把大人也打入監牢……
