迷你墨王國的朋友們為歡迎亞瑟再次造訪做著各種各樣的準備，塞林娜公主也日夜期盼著他的到來，整個迷你墨王國洋溢著一片忙碌祥和的氣氛。亞瑟（弗萊迪·海默 Freddie Highmore 飾）自從上一次的奇妙冒險之后，便一直期望能再回到那個神奇的地方，希望能再次見到美麗的塞林娜公主和迷你墨王國更多的驚喜。可是爸爸卻被蜜蜂惹惱了，他打算帶著媽媽和亞瑟離開這個地方。亞瑟臨出發前忽然收到一只蜘蛛送來的寫著“救命”的米粒，似乎迷你墨王國又處于危險之中，看來亞瑟又要開始一段神奇的冒險之旅……
　　本片是呂克·貝松的第十一部影片，全片采用真人與3D動畫相結合的方式，其3D部份由曾成功制作《哈利波特》的BUF公司負責制作。
