《Let the Right one in》改編自瑞典小說家約翰·林德科維斯特（John Ajvide Lindqvist ）2004年的同名暢銷書，電影劇本由原著作者約翰·林德科維斯特（John Ajvide Lindqvist ）親自參與改編。而本片的英文片名“Let the Right one in”則借用了著名歌手Morrisey的歌曲名“Let the right one slip in”——用來講述一個吸血鬼受邀進入一個家庭的故事。
