Dr Feelgood是一支成立于1971年中旬的英國酒吧搖滾樂隊。是70年代中期為數不多的幾個在唱片銷量上獲得適度成功的英國地下搖滾樂隊之一。樂隊每年都有很多的演出，在駕馭搖滾的背后，他們也奉獻藍調和R ＆ B，因此樂隊也贏得了許多忠實的歌迷。1974年Dr Feelgood發行樂隊的首張專輯'Down by the Jetty',1976年樂隊推出了現場專輯 'Stupidity'，在英國取得了巨大的成功。1980年Mayo離開了樂隊，取而代之的是吉他手Johnny，1982年John Martin 和 John Sparks葉離開了樂隊。1994年樂隊歌手 Lee Brilleaux's untimely 不幸病逝，同在那年發行了他在樂隊的最后一張專輯:'Down At The Doctors'。他們錄制了第一張唱片《被障礙物絆倒)(DownAYtheJetty)。一年以后唱片《惡行)(Malpractice)也跟著發行了。一張在紹森德市和謝菲爾德市實況演出的唱片<愚蠢》(Stupidity)在1976年間獲得排行榜冠軍。1977年3月，在錄制他們的第四張唱片期間約翰遜突然離去，故而從那時到1981年間由約翰·梅奧(JohnMayo)頂替他，“興奮劑”樂隊錄制出七張好壞不一的唱片。錄制在唱片《個人習慣) (Priv~ePractice，1978)上的歌曲《牛奶與酒精》　　(Milk kandAlcoh01)成為排行榜十佳金曲之一。唱片《讓它滾動)(Let／cRoll，1979)由邁克·弗農(MikeVernon)任制作人，唱片<震動事故)(A Caseo／the Shakes，1980)由尼克，制NiekLowe)制作。1981年梅奧離開樂隊，一年以后斯帕克斯和馬丁離去。80年代中期“興奮劑”仍尚在，但陣容已大有變化，他們仍在繼續發揚70年代地下搖滾樂的精神。該樂隊的重要作用在于幫著為1976--1978年的朋克革命鋪平道路：像“碰撞”、“振動器”(TheVibrators)、“切爾西”(Chelsea)和“新興城市老鼠”這些樂隊在很大程度上要歸功于“興奮劑”樂隊醉酒一般的沙啞聲音和對現行音樂趨勢的全然不顧。
